Once power was safely disconnected, our team got to work running new mains cabling, roughing in power circuits, and upgrading the switchboard to include modern RCBO safety switches for full circuit protection. We also installed a new 3-phase point of attachment (POA) to future-proof the property’s supply capacity.

This project included rewiring the entire home: lighting circuits, general power outlets, and dedicated circuits such as the laundry power supply. We wired and installed new power points, tested each circuit to confirm full insulation resistance, and prepared everything for safe reconnection.
Cotton-insulated cabling was commonly used in older homes but has since been phased out due to its serious safety risks. The insulation becomes brittle over time, and even a small disturbance can expose live wires, increasing the risk of electrical fires or electric shock. During a rewire, we replace these unsafe cables with modern TPS cabling (thermoplastic-sheathed), which is compliant, durable and designed to last for decades.
